NETV Donates Vehicle to Local Aid Charity
Leading commercial vehicle specialist North East Truck & Van is supporting a local aid charity with the donation of a vehicle to get vital supplies to the people of Ukraine.
To support a convoy of vehicles organised by Yorkshire Aid Convoy, NETV has supplied an IVECO Daily 7.2t Luton to undertake the journey to the Ukrainian border. The seven-day near 3,000 miles round trip will ensure that vital food and medical/hygiene supplies reach those desperately in need.
Speaking about assisting the aid convoy, John McDonald, Managing Director, commented “The terrible images we see daily in the media of the damage and suffering taking place in Ukraine are incredibly distressing and our thoughts are with those who are having to endure such times. I’m delighted that North East Truck & Van has been able to help by providing one of our vehicles to help this convoy, in getting vital equipment and supplies to where they are so desperately needed. As a Company we hope to continue to provide support where we can to those in need through this crisis”.
