New IVECO Daily Review
The IVECO Daily has been reviewed by leading motoring review website Parkers.co.uk. North East Truck and Van take a look at the outcome and how the largest panel van on the market rated.
Emphasising the separate body chassis, the IVECO Daily 2019 was found to be “more closely related to trucks than any rival van model”. Highlighting the “strength and toughness”, Parkers.co.uk added, “the Daily is available with gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 7.2 tonnes, far in excess of any other large van”.
Offering a Natural Power 136bhp option that runs on Compressed Natural Gas and Daily Electric that has a choice of battery configurations, the IVECO Daily 2019 is also available with a traditional 2.3l or 3.0l four-cylinder diesel engine. Parkers.co.uk was impressed by the automatic gearbox commenting “The Hi-Matic eight-speed automatic gearbox is an optional extra that’s well worth considering”.
Parkers.co.uk admired during the IVECO Daily 2019 testing. Remarks included “This is an impressive vehicle – especially if your priorities stretch beyond 3.5-tonne gross vehicle weight”. It added, “Pick the automatic, and the driving experience is easy-going, too, with light steering and engines that provide plenty of power”.
Awarding the IVECO Daily a score of 3.9 out of 5, Parkers.co.uk commented: “Updated for 2019: vast but easy to drive with a tough, truck-like build”. Other highlighted areas included the range of powerful engines and excellent eight-speed auto gearbox, great aftersales support, alternative fuel choices and the long service intervals.
