Attendees of the 2024 Commercial Vehicle Show at NEC Birmingham will be given the chance to get up close and personal with a highly capable lineup of four distinct IVECO vehicles, each providing operators with a low-emissions-focused specification.
Capturing attention in the EV Café Village will be the IVECO eDaily Mobile Power Van, a distinctive eLCV show vehicle designed to highlight the model’s unrivalled up to 50kW of onboard power. Hosting three innovative modular batteries totalling 111kWh and fitted with the 15kW ePTO option, this eye-catching van’s class-leading cargo volume displays the ‘Power Wall’. Conceived to be a dynamic display of energy flow through the vehicle, showgoers are invited to charge their laptops and smart devices via the onboard power of the eDaily. Available with an up to 50kW ePTO, the eDaily is capable of powering heavy-duty equipment and bodies such as fire fighting equipment, compactors, and road maintenance items.
A giant buzzwire game - also powered by the ePTO - encourages visitors to test their focus for a coveted spot on the leaderboard. Run by the charity Transaid, the game will help generate funds through donations. Transaid is dedicated to enhancing global road safety and strengthening health supply chains.
Caroline Barber, Transaid CEO, commented “We are delighted to be partnering with IVECO and the exciting ‘Mobile Power Station’ vehicle to help raise support for Transaid’s important work that enhances lives through transport.”
A further trio of IVECO eDaily will highlight the versatility of this class-leading eLCV:
• On the Destination Net Zero stand is an impressive 7.2-tonne eDaily box van equipped with a lightweight Bodywork Solutions body made from Omnia recyclable thermoplastic. The addition of roof-mounted Trailar solar panels can provide additional energy capable of powering the vehicle’s tail lift – boosting range by up to 30 miles on delivery missions. This vehicle will also be demonstrating an ingenious solution to prevent the potential of vehicle battery theft by Locks4Vans.
• An excellent example of the strong truck-based chassis and zero-emissions capabilities will be on display via Stockton-on-Tees Council’s new eDaily library van. Hosted on the Fischer Panda stand, this 7.2-tonne EV helps provide its local community with access to a well-stocked library via its lightweight body created by Torton Bodies. The light GRP composite construction of the body helps maximise overall payload.
• The famed eDaily that set the incredible towing world record of 153.58 tonnes will also be on display. Driven by professional strongman Adam Bishop for the record-setting accomplishment, this vehicle utilised its strong truck-based chassis to become an EV icon.
An IVECO S-Way Natural Gas truck will also be on the Destination Net Zero stand, a vehicle that serves as a viable alternative to fleets looking to dramatically reduce emissions. When run on biomethane, this IVECO produces up to 95% less CO2 than an equivalent diesel truck.
Lisa Fuller, IVECO Brand Marketing & Communications Manager, said “It will be great to see a strong lineup of IVECO models, both heavy and light, at the CV Show. These low-emissions vehicles are providing operators with cleaner alternatives without a compromise in capability”.
